did you try upgrade to the latest 161009 firmware again and how did it go? Please try upgrade via both NVR interface and Reolink Client on PC. If convenient, please also try connects your C1 to the same router as PC connects and upgrade on Reolink Client PC.
if upgrade still did not succeed anyway, would you please provide the upgrade failed screenshot if possible?
Having massive difficulty in connecting this camera to my wireless network using my Android phone. Here is my process. Anything I'm doing wrong?
1. I unboxed the camera and connected it to a power source and to my internet router using the supplied CAT cable. 2. I then downloaded the Reolink application on my Android phone and followed all steps to get the camera view to show up on my phone. 3. I then followed the steps to set up the wireless connection. 4. I was then able to DISCONNECT the CAT cable and still see the live camera view on my phone. In other words, successfully connected it to my wireless network. 5. From here, I needed to move my camera from the bench testing to the actual exterior location. So I disconnected the POWER SOURCE so that I could take the camera outside to the exterior power source I had already installed. 6. I then connected the camera to the exterior power source again, but the wireless connection failed to accept my login credentials. When I deleted the camera and try to add it again, it still does not accept my credentials.
Very frustrating, and my only thought it that my initial setup needs to be done on an actual computer using their supplied software?
I'm one of those you can pity with 12 cameras mixed between direct connection to the NVR and others not. The nice thing at this time is that all my cameras are the same model. I did do the upgrade today for the image upload and even without the SD card, it is not a very easy upgrade. I had to reconfigure all the motion activity and all the other custom options for each of the cameras. The NVR was not as bad as I could export the config and import it afterwards; again this does not keep the camera config details. I know Reolink is working on that part in a future upgrade.
I do look forward to them allowing an NVR attached camera to do an "image only" FTP upload as directly connected devices are not accessible except via the NVR box itself. I did see that the NVR firmware was not updated to the newest version at this time, but hope it will be soon. This is one feature I've waited for for a long time.
Would you please check whether you have configured the DST Settings under Device Settings > System > General? If your area will apply Day Light Saving policy, please enable that. DST If you need any assistance, please send an email to email@example.com, our support team would like to help.
Whether the camera will connect to a 2.4GHz network or 5GHz network is depending on the band of the wireless network you choose, if you choose a 5GHz network, the camera will connect to 5GHz.
But the Wi-Fi signal of that network is very important, if you choose to connect to the 5GHz network, but the Wi-Fi signal is very weak, I'm afraid the connection may not be stable and even be disconnected.
Normally the 5GHz will be sharply weakened by obstacles, if your camera is mounted to a place that is not close to the router, or there is any wall between, it is suggested to use 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz.
Hi Bob, sorry for the inconvenience and our late reply. Please kindly confirm how many walls are between the camera and router. And to change stream to Fluent, you can change it by single click the Play button in the device list. Also you can send email to firstname.lastname@example.org then they would help you to check it.
Hi, sorry for that. Please kindly confirm if your SD card gets full? If it is so, then it will overwriting automatically. It means that the camera would erase the previous files so that to record new files.
Hello, the maximum resolution of the camera is 2560*1440, you may configure it under Device Settings > Record > Encode.
To capture a still picture, please use one screen for the camera to display in Clear mode, with multi-screen on live view, the camera will only display in Fluent mode, the quality of the picture may not be good.
