I own several Reolink cameras but with my RLC-423WS I start to have serious issues. I had some in the past which where never resolved by support like FW trying to get DHCP based IP address beyond the one used by the camera itself but now I run into one which their is no workaround and the camera becomes useless.
Originally the camera was connected to Wifi 5GHz and all of a sudden I lost the connection and could not reconnect to it. The camera just resetted itself (not the usual Sunday restart in the configuration) and went back to factory settings, so loss of Wifi configuration, loss of PTZ Presets, loss of Encoding settings, access password, everything..
I had to change to wired connectivity as it was obviously not possible anymore to connect to the camera via wifi. This happens now several times a day and when the camera reboots to factory defaults it points to a default direction which is of no interest to me. I then need to discover the incident and reset basic settings plus PTZ it to where it should point to... totally useless going forward.
I tried everything, repowering after long wait, resetting manually to factory setting (I had the impression that after this manipulation it took longer for the camera to get back to auto reset mode),... their is no newer FW available for the camera and it is out of warranty, so what can I do... trash it to the bin?
Hi New to this, can someone tell me how to set up the email alert on the ReolinkGo camera? This uses a Vodafone V-Sim. I have been told be vodafone that their card does not support Email. I assume that I require the SMTP details of Vodafone V-Sim to get this working? Thanks
Hello friend, yes, you can view videos stored on the micro SD card via Reolink App or Reolink Client from anywhere. It does not have to be on the same wifi network as the camera. So if your phone is connecting to a 5Ghz wifi, you can retrieve the recordings of the camera via Reolink App.
You say cool things, I support you. Indeed, health is the most important thing in our lives. We need to do Complete body check because it helps us feel good. If you want to live earlier, you need to visit medical clinics regularly. We do this together with the whole family.
Me again, after purchasing the cam, i checked option a) with my iPhone and it does work - more or less. Setting it up is a bit tricky due to the behavior of the iPhone hotspot. And the performance is pretty poor, i assume the video data streams completely from the cam via the phones hotspot to Reolink server and back to the phone. If it really was peer to peer, this should work faster. As a comparison, if both the cam and phone are connected to my home wifi, video is very fast. And my router shows zero traffic to or from the outer internet, so this is an evidence that devices share data directly within my wifi. I will see if this is workable if the cam is on the tree.
Hello Customer, sorry to tell you that for now, there isn't a button/icon that can turn the camera off. But you can make the camera not record by setting the Motion Detection area to 'None', then the camera will not record any more or send you the notification, here is how to do that https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018950413-Set-up-Motion-Detection-Zones-via-Reolink-App?source=search
Hello Customer, much appreciate your trust on Reolink! the IR LEDs on during the night does not mean it is recording, it is a way to provide enough light for the camera to 'see' during the night(lack of light), without the IR LEDs, it would be hard for the camera to see clearly in the dark. That also provides us with a way to know if the camera can work properly during the night.
This works the same way as with the banking system. Already eating, there are some algorithms that detect money laundering attempts, but 90 percent of them are false. It's an interesting topic about AI and here https://www.aresearchguide.com/thesis-generator.html you can generate a topic for different types of papers. Therefore, we need another algorithm for filtering errors.
If the camera is online, we can successfully access the camera no matter it's local network or external network. In your case, it's better to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org Our technical support will help you. Thank you in advance.
I bought an argus eco and I cant access it via reolink app or windows client when my devices are not connected to the same network the camera is connected to. I am using a tp-link TL-MR6400 LTE router to use the camera in a remote location, I have reseted both the camera and the router to factory defalts several times, but nothing has changed. I have also tried in 3 other networks and the problem persists. Is it necessary to do some configuration in the router?
