Help with best picture sttings

I have RLC-423. The picture settings (under video settings-->brightness/contrast/saturation/hue/sharpness) are all on default. My issue is, during day, when sun is up, the surface is sometimes too shiny (camera is not faced towards the sun), and during night time it's too dark. Anyone knows of a good settings to make it better?
