Hi Fizz, Client version 8.5.2 has fixed the high consumption of the CPU on Mac. It may be the cause of the slow connection. You can try the new version. If it can't work fine, you can try to submit the log here, Submit a request – Reolink Support. Then our team will try to look into this specific case.

Hi Neil, you can try to reset your camera and see if it still exists. If so, please provide us with a photo of it. You can try to upload the photo instead of pasting here. -
I've also noticed the auto-update within the client doesn't work, I don't think it ever has, I have a theory why. If I run the client from the Windows Command Prompt, when it starts it logs a variety of settings out to the console, then checks for a new version and logs the following:-
Checking for update...
Update for version 8.5.2 is not available (latest version: 8.3.1, downgrade is disallowed).
update-not-available
This suggests to me that wherever it's looking for a new version actually has version 8.3.1, which is older than the versions we have.
Hope it helps someone fix it -
@gary-d_344027431432324 Thank you for the feedback, Gary. We have not enabled the auto-upgrade for the desktop app now. The only way to upgrade is to download the latest version from our site, https://reolink.com/us/software-and-manual/.
We are planning to allow auto-upgrade in a future version update. Stay tuned for further news! -
Not sure if this is a real issue, I just got my E1 PRO set up and downloaded the 8.5.2 Reolink Client for Windows.
Both playback and live viewing feels choppy. This is most apparent in the time stamp, as the seconds move forward, it's almost like there's micro-stutter in the live view.
Other people seem to have commented on this as well in the Reolink Reddit community. Just search 8.5.2 Reolink Client in that subreddit. -
@suen_andrew_488833462579378 Hello Suen, thank you for the feedback. You may check the camera info and see if your E1 Pro is running with the latest firmware.
Find the latest firmware here, https://reolink.com/download-center/
When you download firmware, make sure it fits the hardware version of your camera. There are two hardware versions of the E1 Pro camera, one is IPC_513SD5 and the other is IPC_515SD5.
Let us know if you have any questions. -
