nvr turns monitor off before first time set up

hello ive just had the poe 4mp 8ch RLK-420D4-4MP Installed on a moniter through vga lead and when it turns on the reolink logo comes on but no user interface comes on and it switches my monitor off after a few seconds my monitor is 1080 and im at my wits end i didnt even have time to set up a password so am unable to view cameras through the app or client

You can try to unplug the HDD and check if the NVR will power on when no HDD is plugged. You may open the NVR housing and follow the below picture to unplug the HDD.
Or you can unplug the cameras that are connected to the NVR and check if the NVR can boot up.
