I have a Reolink Go Plus. The camera is pointed at the door, and it would start recording as soon as there was movement. A firmware upgrade added person detection. Now, it doesn't start recording on the first movement. It waits until a person is detected. Should I turn off person detection, so that it starts recording when the door starts moving, which is what I want?
Greetings,When I tried to sign into reolink.com, I got a message saying "Enter the 6-digit code that you see in the App", however, the app isn't showing a 6-digit code. I have the Google Play app, version 4.39.0.5.20230728.How can I get the app to show me the two-factor authentication code? Thanks,Shane.
@joseph_1979 I added a 256 GB card, and it seems to be working.
When I purchased the E1 Zoom the manual said that it supports micro SD cards up to 128 GB. Now on the product page, the specifications say that it can take SD cards up to 256 GB. However, further down the same page, the FAQ says it can only take a 128 GB card.Does the E1 Zoom support 256 GB micro SD cards? A separate document says that it can, however, there is nothing consistent.
@joseph_1979 I just realized that this is a feature of the device—not the Windows software. So for example, my E1 Zoom has the ability to export the configuration file, but my Go Plus doesn't have this option.I'm still trying to figure out how to export the settings on my E1 Zoom.
@joseph_1979 I am running version 8.10.4. The website says that this is the most recent version. It was released on May 15, 2023.What version are you running?
Greetings,There is no documentation about how to backup the settings, so I would like help. When I go into the Windows client and click Settings > System > Maintenance, it brings up the following:If I click the first Browse [censored]on, a Select Folder to Upload dialog box appears. What do I do next?
It doesn't say where it gets uploaded to, which is confusing.I have an E1 Zoom. Thanks in advance,Shane.
Greetings,In my Windows client, if I go into Settings > System > Date & Time, there is a Start time of the 2nd week of March, and an End time of the 1st week of November. Does the camera turn on and then off on these dates?I have an E1 Zoom.Thanks,Shane.
@reolink-fiona I've been in video meetings for most of the day. I think if the wi-fi was a problem I would have noticed it in Zoom or Google Meet.I will submit a ticket.Shane.
Greetings,The Reolink Client for Windows has just updated to version 8.7.1.I noticed a new option. When I click Client Settings > General, There is an option called "Scrollview Time", which is currently set to 10 seconds. What does this do?The manual doesn't have this option. It hasn't been updated since September 2021.Shane.
@reolink-fiona The camera is sitting next to my router. It should be getting a strong signal. I'm not sure how to test if there has been a signal drop.Shane.
Greetings,My E1 Zoom is set to automatically reboot every Sunday at 2 am. However, it seems to be rebooting several times a day. I can hear it when it is panning and tilting all the way, but sometimes I'm not present when the camera reboots. Is there a place I can check to see the last time it rebooted? Thanks,Shane.
@reolink-fiona I apologize for the delay, but I'm not getting notified of replies. The documentation says that the FTP Postpone "option is only available when File Types Video and FTP Schedule is Motion." I have the schedule set to Timer (continuous record). I changed it any way, although if the documentation is correct it shouldn't make a difference.Shane.
Greetings,I set up local record, and each video was five minutes, which is correct. Unfortunately, I found out that local record only works when the desktop client was running, which meant that it wasn't possible to have it recording all the time, so I need another option.I set up FTP. The files get uploaded, but there are about 1600 files each day. Each file would be only a few seconds. The file sizes begin at about 350 KB. None of the MP4s can be played. The only thing that works are the uploaded images.I'm guessing that if I can change the capture length from a few seconds to five minutes, the files wouldn't be corrupted. How can I do this?I have a Reolink E1 Zoom. My FTP settings are:Upload: Clear video and imageTransport Mode: AUTOMax Size of a Single File: 1024FTP Postpone: 30Second(s)The documentation says that there is an Interval option, but this doesn't appear in the Windows desktop client version 8.5.2.Thanks,Shane.
I updated the firmware from version v3.0.0.247_21040708 to v3.0.0.716_21112408, but I still can't connect with FTP.The reason I am trying this is because backing up to a network drive only works when the Reolink client is running. If the client isn't running or my laptop is turned off, the camera doesn't send to the hard drive. Does FTP have this problem? Or does FTP work all the time?
I finally found the manual. It's on the downloads page.
I apologize for the delay, but I'm not getting email notifications for replies. I don't know what's wrong. I'm still getting an error message saying I can't include links in my post.I have a WD My Cloud, which supports unencrypted FTP (port 21). It's good to know that a private IP (192.168.0.x) will work. That is preferable because my ISP is blocking the public port 21. I'm going to see if there are server log files I can access that would give me information as to why the connection is being rejected.I have tried all the troubleshooting steps.I was going to update the firmware, but I noticed something strange: my hardware version is eleven digits long (IPC_515BSD6), but the hardware version on the downloads page is ten digits long (IPC_515SD6). The name is the same (E1 Zoom), so I don't know why the hardware versions don't match.
I have set up an FTP server and tested it. Now that the FTP server is working properly, I would like to connect the E1 Zoom to it.I followed the steps, but when I click the Test [censored]on I got an error message saying "454: Connection failed. Please check your network connection". I saw a post saying that the Reolink client doesn't understand private IP addresses (192.168.0.1), so I changed it to a public IP address, but got the same error message. I then saw an article saying that my ISP is blocking port 21, so I changed the ports to 2100, but I'm still getting the same error message. I can still verify the FTP server is working. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps. What else can I try?EDIT: I'm getting a forum error message saying that I can't include links in my post, so I've removed all the links. The post might not make as much sense without the links.Thanks,Shane.
Greetings,I just got a Reolink Go. I can view live feed, but if I try to download a video from the microSD card, the camera disconnects - but it doesn't say why it disconnects. How can I find out the reason trying to download a file causes the camera to disconnect? An article says to try using the app, but I have the same problem.Thanks,Shane.
