I'm new to this and asking for opinions.  This was taken this morning with 410WS with sensitivity set to 30.  It didn't rain and a swarm of insects in mid Oct, SE PA is unlikely but when I woke up, there was fog.  I don't know what time it rolled in.  Is this what the camera is picking up?

I changed it to unlisted. Take a look.

I also have this same type of artifacts in some of my night videos, and have always chocked them up to dust and or insects that are drawn to the IR light as everything else around it is dark.  Where I see it mostly is on two cameras I have installed in horse stalls (inside barn) so I assume it is not fog.  Again I would think more insects or other items attracted to the light.

My vote wold be bugs or dust.

I'll have spider webs pop up in the middle of the night and a camera will record all night because of the wind.

                  Hi all

I am not sure I see the problem clearly in the YouTube video. It seems to be noise problem.

May I ask if you find the same issue happens both in live view and recordings in daylight?
Did any of you try upgrading the firmware to the latest version and how did it work?

Any screenshots or short clip of recordings in the daylight would be much appreciated, so we can fully understand your situation.

I had water vapor on both of my RLC-422’s, just look at the lens filter at night with a torch or early first light and you should be able to see the water vapor.

I’m not sure if you can remove the lens filter on a 410WS.

I was able to remove the dome on a dry day and clean the inside with a lint free cloth, I also used a hair dryer on the unit  for a couple of mins to burn off any remaining moisture.

I only ever had this vapor for the first couple of nights after the cameras were installed and I carried out the fix detailed above a couple times each.

I’m puzzled why the moisture only gathers directly in front of the lens in a circle and not on the lower edge of the glass like it would on a window.

Other camera manufacturers such as Hikvision have heating elements in some of their cameras to resolve this issue.

                    ? Good Luck.

Hi myreolink and those who use RLC-422

If you found water vapor in your camera, please:
1, if it is your new camera, left the camera mounted without the dome cover and run it for a short while to heat it up a little bit, then put the dome cover back on.
if you have run the camera for some time, left the camera running while dismounting the dome cover and dry the water vapor on the cover, then put it back on.

2, check if the rubber ring around 4 screws and wire is properly mounted so they can prevent water from going into the camera.

If 2 methods above does not help, please send us a picture showing the water vapor on the lens to support@reolink.com so we can better assist you.
