      Hi, i have just purchased the RLC-423 from Amazon in the UK,
      i am a little confused with which POE injector to purchase the one I'm looking at was - TP Link TL-POE150S would this be ok as looking at the manual it says: DC12V PoE (802.3at) Power consumption 22W.

      Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

          I should add that : DC12V PoE (802.3at) Power consumption 22W is stated on reolink manual.

            Hi thericksteruk, as the manual said the Power consumption is 22W. So the PoE injector's output should more than 22W to support it's warking. The DC 12V and PoE(802.3at) are the two ways of power supply.

              Hi, I have the same question, and I realize that I need a Power Injector of 802.3 at standard, but can it a passive injector as I was told that some of the cameras need specifics.

                  The power output of passive injector should satisfied your camera. Please kindly note.

                  I bought the 4-camera Reolink RLK8-410B system plus two RLC-423 cameras.  I have tested the system with all 6 cameras and the NVR seems OK to power them, although I have not tried both of the 423 cameras on auto patrol.  Should I be worried about the NVR being able to supply the 22 watts apiece to those cameras and the four RLC-410 cameras?  I don't know how much power the 410 cameras use.  I can connect the 423 camera power supplies to each of those cameras if needed for a stable system, thanks.

                    I have the Reolink RLK8-410B4 system including four of the 410 cameras and the 8-port POE injector NVR. I added two RLC-423 PTZ cameras which I understand each take 22 watts. Should I be concerned about overloading the NVR POE? I can wire the power bricks that came with the 423 cameras to them and remove a lot of the power draw, if you think advisable.

                    I haven't finished installing the system yet, but I did connect everything up including both 423 cameras and let it run for a few hours, although I didn't have the 423 cameras patrolling and thus continuously using their motors. The NVR and its power supply was warm but not nowhere near hot. However I'd like an expert opinion instead of just a literal "hands-on" guess :).

                      And we suggest that when your NVR has connected 4 RLC-410 then you'd better connect one RLC-423. Or you can add a PoE injector for the second RLC-423. Thanks for your understanding.

                        My configuration consists of a POE+ (802.3at) (30w per port) switch to which I attach three RLC-423 which uses a DC12V PoE (802.3at).  Do I need a splitter or can I plug the CAT6 run from the switch directly into the RJ45 jack on the camera without the use of a splitter?

                            Congratulations on your purchase of the RLC-423 IP camera! The TP-Link TL-POE150S PoE injector should work fine with your camera, as it supports the 802.3at standard, also known as PoE+ or PoE Plus.
