Waterproof Lid Ethernet Connector?

Any diagrams or description on how to use the Waterproof Lid that comes with the cameras? I would like to use this for a few of my devices, but it looks like it requires one to crimp their own cable after inserting it into the plastic lid; not able to use the provided cables. Just making sure I'm not missing something with this protection device.

To put on the waterproof lid, you need to cut off the RJ45 connector, put the waterproof through the cable, then attach the connector back to the cable again.
