Anyone had issues connecting to their NVR after updating to the latest firmware (v2.0.0.4725_1724_20120700) for the RLN8-410 ( H3MB02 )?It works within my network.Outside the network it fails to connect. There are no port blocks, nothing changed on the router.I also have a stand-alone Reolink camera which is still working.I have checked the settings, rebooted the NVR, re-installed the app, removed and re-added the NVR using UID.Any thoughts?
@joseph_1979 Reolink and Swann use (or used to) the same hardware and firmware. My original NVR before the one I replaced was a Swann which I ran Reolink firmware on as Swann was many versions out of date. So the hardware has always been compatible between the two. Thats why I was surprised to see most of my cameras not working. On the old Reolink NVR, I even had some no name brand cameras which worked fine on it. I would just connect them to the network and they would pop up on the NVR.Compatibility with a wide variety of cameras was one of the reasons why I went with Reolink and thought it would still be the case.
My existing Reolink NVR died so I got a replacement going with the NVR8-410.This new box is connecting to the Reolink cameras but it's not able to get a stream from the Swann IPC_388M cameras firmware 541_17051800.It accepts the password and connects to the camera. The camera info screen shows a loading spinner, then the details of the camera appear on the screen, then it all disappears and goes back to the loading spinner. It does this cycle every few seconds. It never connects to a video stream.Does anyone know how to get these cameras working on the new box?
