Hello, I have some doubts regarding the 3 products listed in the title. On the comparison made on the website I see: 1) Home hub pro is supporting max. 12 wired cameras, does this means that eventual other 12 should be mandatorily by Wifi? I l always prefer PoE cameras as the connection is much more stable. I don't understand what difference it could make to the device, if it is handling 24 channels, wether if they are wired cameras or not. 2) Why is it indicated that Home Hub pro does not support the cams with person/vehicle/pet detection? It looks strange to me, might be a mistake? 3) Why is the video playback and backup indicated as "not" in the home hub pro? Maybe because it is replaced by the "smart playback/event history" tab? And, as a last minor comment, I'm not honestly understanding why the cost of the RLN36 is so low compared to the RLN16-410, given the fact that it is handling much more channels... Maybe it has an older hardware like CPU etc? Thank you very much! Best regards
@joseph_1979 Now I got your point, thanks. I have tried and I confirm that if I connect the cameras through the switch and then plug the switch in a LAN port and not directly in the NVR, the shortcut is working and the siren alarm sound is switched off. It is a little bit tricky because I have to re-perfom all the settings of the cameras done before, and sometimes the shortcut is not able to complete the settings because now it is operating on 8 "devices" instead of only one, and when I will increase my system reaching 16 cameras I'm afraid it will be even trickier. But, to be fair, the solution you proposed solved my problem of not being able to set the siren sound as I wanted. I have anyway opened a ticket with the support. Thanks for your help!
@joseph_1979 Thank you very much for coming back on this topic. Currently I have 7 cameras connected to the NVR RLN16-410.6 of them are connected through Reolink PoE switch RLA-PS1 because they are about 50 meters far from the NVR, and one directly into the NVR (because it is very close: only 15 meters of LAN cable). What exactly do you mean by connect the cameras through a switch? You mean the PoE switch or another switch? Thank you very much
@joseph_1979 In the "shortcut" menu (which is opened when I click on "add" in the main view) I can select only the NVR, so I guess that I am controlling the NVR. I have the following need: I go to this property in random times and days, so I need the alarm siren and push notifications to be always on, except when I enter the property, which is the moment I need both to be OFF. With the shortcut I can press a button and turn push notifications OFF (and they are actually off), but the siren on cameras keeps sounding whenever I pass below them even if in the shortcut edit I select to have the siren sound OFF.It looks like the shortcut can override the push notification program, but not the siren alarm sound program on each camera.
Hello, I'm using a NVR RLN16-410 with 8 cameras RLC-811-A, I am honestly surprised by how well the system is working. I have set a shortcut on the reolink android app to switch OFF push notifications and alarm siren sound on the cameras for when I'm entering the property. The push notifications are correctly switched off, but the cameras keep sounding with alarm siren sound every time I'm passing in front of them. Do someone know what could be the reason why the shortcut is correctly overriding the push notification program but not the alarm siren on the cameras? They keep on sounding following their program and are not switche off by the shortcut. Thank you
