@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Thanks for your response buddy. Ok, that makes sense. I am now wondering if it is still worth having the NVR if I am connecting the cameras to a POE switch?**UPDATE** Having now read through the Reddit article, I see that it is still worth having the NVR for recoding and redundancy. Thanks again buddy.
Hi FolksI am in the market for a POE NVR system and I am liking the look of Reolink systems. I plan to use a Reolink NVR to control the cameras and store the data on the HDD. If the HDD died whilst we are away on holiday, is it possible to continue to use the cameras but switch the storage to the on-board micro sd cards? Obviously I would install the SD cards beforehand. I hope that question makes sense?
