Hi. I recently purchased my first security camera - Reolink E1 Zoom. So far I'm pretty satisfied with it and long story short, I'm looking to automate the Day and Night type of recording for a particular time. I can't use the "Auto" mode, because the clicking sound is disturbing my pet.So far I've done the automation via Home Assistant, but I'm looking to do it natively via the camera itself. Anyone here knows a way to accomplish that?
@joseph_1979 The description doesn't answer either of my questions. I want to verify if I need a plugin to access the camera via HTTP/HTTPS... See, Foscam also told me that I can access the R4 via http/https, but what they missed is that I needed a plugin that no longer supports modern browsers. For the RJ45 ports - I already saw two versions of the body - one with, and one without RJ45 port, the description doesn't specify that as well.
Hey All.Hey All. I’m in the process of building up my smart home, and I’m currently hunting for security and privacy-oriented indoor camera that can integrate with HA.So far my search lead me to Reolink E1 Zoom and Foscam R4. Between the two, I choosed (poorly) the cheaper R4 that was selling locally, because in my country we don't have Amazon and Reolink E1 Zoom is not being sold locally. So, Foscam lied a little bit when they told me that I can access the camera via http, because it turned out that I need to use Internet Explorer (newer browser do not support their outdated plugin) and I need to install their browser plugin in order to control my camera. So I'm in the process of returning this camera, never looking back at Foscam and looking for alternatives that actually support http, without any additional plugins or desktop applications. Is the E1 Zoom such camera or Reolink too, requiers browser addon for this?My second question is: Does your E1 zoom has RJ45 port? I see that there are several versions of the body, and some lack it. RJ45 port is a must for me, so I'm looking only at the versions that DO have the port. Thanks!
