Dear forum,I use Homeassistant.I have two reolink E1 Outdoor cameras.Each time I use the camera's PTZ actions (changing position), the camera slowly loses calibration.It takes about 20 ptz actions on the camera to have it lose it's calibration. The guard position drifts up to about 90° of it's original position.This means that I have to recalibrate the camera very often, sometimes 10 to 15 times a day.In Homeassistant I want to create a counter that is increased every time the camera moves (i.e. from a ptz command or a tracking command).Therefore I need to detect these camera actions.In Homeassistant I looked for an entity that returns the 'motion' (ptz) state of the camera, something like "still" or "moving".Each time the state sets to "moving", the automation will increase the counter.Every time the counter adds up to 20, another automation sends a "recalibrate" command to the camera and returns it back to it's guard position.Is there any way to integrate this ?Thank you for your advice.SincerelyAxel
@yanivoscam_550593843826858 Create a ftp server with Filezilla Server on your computer. It runs a a service.Create a user in filezilla Server ("reolink" for example)Create a folder on your computer and set it as home for the user you just created in Filezilla Server.In your camera's settings, set the ftp configuration to connect to the new ftp server, using the client identifier (i.e. reolink for example).In the ftp settings of the camera, also set the "timer" tab's grid to all hours of the day and week. The whole grid should become blue.All the streams will be recorded via FTP on your computer 24 hours a day 7 days a week.Best regards
@joseph_1979 Hello Joseph,I have a hint to what is happening.The control buttons are all there allright.They are just hidden by the video window.The video window overlaps the button bar at the button. You can see that by moving your mouse cursor to where the buttons should be. You can see a finger/hand cursor appearing and if you wait for a second you have the button hint that shows up. When you click on it the corresponding control window shows up.The developers should just reduce or move the video window maybe 20 pixels higher and the control button bar should appear.Best regardsAxel
Hello,I just upgraded reolink client to version 8.14 (from a message displayed at reolink client startup).What I can see is that PTZ and camera controls alltogether seem to be gone...Are the controls available through some new menu or shortcut ?On my computers I'm running Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 10.I do not have Windows 11.My cameras are two E1 Outdoor and two Duo 2.Thank youBest regards
I think I finally solved the problem.I reinstalled the latest 64 bit version of the reolink PC client, and I set the stream clear resolution for the duo cameras to 4096x1536 instead of 4608x1728.Now the client does not crash anymore.Furthermore I have seen that the highest stream resolution (4608x1728) generates partly scrambled mp4 recordings.The image is badly truncated at the bottom and at the right, showing vertical lines (bottom) and horizontal lines (right) as if the full resolution was not supported by the recording format.When downsizing to 4096x1536, the recorded video is perfect.Best regardsAxel
@joseph_1979 Installed 32bit version and it works.However refresh rate is catastrophic, and the display is not refreshed when in scroll view mode, i.e. the image stays from the same camera, with a hourglass symbol stuck in the center.
@joseph_1979 Thank you. I've already done it, but nothing changes. It still crashes with DUO camera, even after a complete reinstallation of the client.It works great with the E1 outdoor and the Wifi video doorbell.Maybe a resolution issue ?
@joseph_1979 Thank you for your suggestion.I disabled hardware acceleration on the client but it didn't change the issue. Still crashing as soon as the DUO camera comes into view.Dxdiag gives me :DirectX 11Intel core i5 M560 @2.67GHzIntel HD graphics version 8.15.10.2281Thank you !
Rear Reolink community,I finally received my 3 last cameras.I now have :
I use the Reolink PC client.When in solo camera mode (i.e. display one camera on the screen) the client crashes with the duo camera before even showing a single frame.In scrollview mode, when displaying the duo camera stream, the program crashes.This does not happen when in multiple camera (mosaic) mode.The other cameras' (E1 Outdoor) streams are displayed correctly.I have version 8.12.1.Windows 7 SP18Gb ram1Tb HDD.Thank you for your help !Best regardsAxelThe renderer.log file show this error at the time of the crash :[2023-09-10 10:50:16.008] [error] "main > app.vue > stopbeep > audio: " undefined[2023-09-10 10:50:16.068] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: , start: 0, end: 1"[2023-09-10 10:50:16.712] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: , start: 0, end: 4"[2023-09-10 10:50:16.869] [info] "-----onPlayerChannelAdded: CAMCAN002 CAMCAN002----"[2023-09-10 10:50:16.875] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: 0, start: 0, end: 4"[2023-09-10 10:50:16.947] [info] "-----onPlayerChannelAdded: CAMCAN001 CAMCAN001----"[2023-09-10 10:50:16.952] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: 0,1, start: 0, end: 4"[2023-09-10 10:50:16.974] [info] "-----onPlayerChannelAdded: CAMCAN004 CAMCAN004----"[2023-09-10 10:50:16.977] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: 0,1,2, start: 0, end: 4"[2023-09-10 10:50:17.045] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: 0,1,2, start: 0, end: 4"[2023-09-10 10:50:17.114] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: 0,1,2, start: 0, end: 4"[2023-09-10 10:50:24.142] [info] "------player.vue > showedPlayerChannels: 2, start: 2, end: 3"
@joseph_1979 Thank you.
Dear Reolink group,I've just purchased 2 E1-Outdoor cameras and I'm integrating them in a Home Assistant process.I need the cameras to point randomly to different preset positions, and stay there during a random time.My question is the following :Can the cameras detect motion while moving from one position to another, or do they need to be standing still in order to detect motion ?Thank youBest regardsAxel
