ITTF,First, let me thank you guys for quickly answering my last post. Why do these 4k Ultra HD cameras have a Power Cord, a Rest Button, and an Ethernet connector if power is provided by the Ethernet connection? Is the Power Cord used and if so, how?Is the Reset Button Used (some of my cameras will be very difficult to access) and if so, when? How often? Can a camera reset be done form the computer? Can I install a router without going through the Modem? Can I still see Locally and remotely the cameras? Thank you.Howard Hoover
Greetings, I purchased the 4k, 8MP camera system with the NVR. The cameras work great and I do not have any issues zooming in - everything seems to remain proportional. Howard Hoover
1. I have a message on the Control panel that the login for the NVR was successful but on the cameras it was unsuccessful. Please help me by telling me exactly got to log into the cameras.2. How do I find my external hard drive on the control panel? I have a 4TB external Hard Drive. 3. Unfortunately, the internal 2TB hard drive is faulty - getting a red HDD light. Will this effect the external Hard Drive?4. I have taken off the cover and reseated all the plugs on the internal hard drive - still the red HDD light. I have notified Reolink support about this. Does anyone know if I will have to send back the faulty internal drive to get a working 2TB internal drive? Does anyone know how much it cost to upgrade to a 4TB internal Hard Drive?Thank you.Howard HooverLogin-Failed-Cameras.jpeg
Thank you for your reply. I want to add a 4TB hard drive to the NVR via the eSATA on the rear of the NVR. I have the 4TB Hard drive (a MY Book by WD). All I can find is USB3 to eSATA, NOT eSATA to USB3 (the external hard drive has a USB3 connector). Is the USB3 to eSATA cable bidirectional - can I use a USB3 TO eSATA cable?
I watched the "How to Mount the Bullet Cameras". It ONLY describes how to change the angle of the camera (important), but nothing else as far as installation. Does any one know how large a hole must be drilled to pass through the RJ45 cable and install the "Waterproof Lid"?I am making my own RJ45, Cat6, T568B cables to run from the camera to the NVR. Does anyone know of any issues with using Cat6?Does anyone know if the "My Book" from WD is compatible with the RLN8-410E NVR for the 4k bullet cameras?https://shop.westerndigital.com/products/external-drives/wd-my-book-usb-3-0-hdd?utm_medium=pdsh2&utm_source=gads&utm_campaign=wd-us-pla&utm_content=873862296940&utm_term=WDBBGB0040HBK-NESN#WDBBGB0040HBK-NESNThank you.Howard Hoover
