Just checked if I can download clear playbacks with android but I can't find the option to switch from fluent to clear. Fluent works somehow.

I'm having couple of reolink cameras. Both of my C1 and C2 Pros have the same issue. When I use the osx reolink client and I go to playback, put my camera channel in, and go to clear, and then to video download, the camera crashes and reboots when I download a video. Since this happens on all of my 2 C1 and 2 C2 cameras it might have to do with the osx client. Unfortunately I have no Windows currently around and don't want to setup a vm just for this.

54.210.7.156 has port 22 opened, nice. So I wonder already why this wasn't hacked so far. I will check what kind of data the camera is sending there and maybe block that connection completely.

I've bought 2 C1's which I would like to use as babycams. I found it very nice that I can view the stream even outside my house but I actually thought that this is not possible with the reolink cams. That was actually the reason why I chosed reolink - to not have this cloud feature which is in my eye as an IT security guy a bit risky.

Is there a proper way how to turn it off so I can view the stream only @ home or when connected to my home's VPN? If not I would need to find to "whom" the camera is talking and just block traffic on the firewall. But I'd prefer the "clean" way.

Also I wonder how I can get the audio from the camera. Talking to the camera works quite nice but I can't get any audio back. This speaker symbol above the screen is unmuted. Do I need to enable something else?

I'm also running ZoneMinder for a couple of other cameras. Where can I find the URL how to add the C1's to ZoneMinder?

Is there also the possibility to fetch stuff from the cameras SD card via FTP or so?

the reolink cameras seem to me the best choice while looking for a camera system with various different models for different situations and when you don't want to use a cloud based service.

So I haven't chosen for it since I still have some open questions.

I'm currently considering buying 2 of RLC-420-5MP as babycams. I would like to connect both of them to my QNap Surveillance Station or any other custom "NVR" (Zoneminder, motioneye, etc.) via RTSP. Since I don't want to use our usual DECT babyphone anymore I also need audio. Is that possible on the RLC-420-5MP?

For other system that don't work with RSTP it would be nice to have MJPEG but afaik none of the reolink cams supports it, right?

Is there any other way to "connect" to the camera and configure it than using the http interface? Is there maybe ssh access or is it possible to fetch stuff from the sd card via FTP? Is it maybe even possible to mod the cams os - is it a linux?

I'm currently using Raspberry PIs as cameras but this solution is a but fragile and not robust enough for me anymore.

Is it possible to trigger video recording on the reolink manually or take snapshots in a specified interval? I mean this would still be possible in the Surveillance Station but since the RSTP stream will be h264 encoded I think taking images from it will result in reduced quality. Taking images on the camera directly would be much better.

So many questions. But it would be awesome if you could help me.
