Has anyone ever had any success with a physical joy stick controller to manipulate their PTZ cameras? I know there is PTZ control built into the app and web interface, this is more just for my own personal enjoyment. After a lot of searching on the internet, it seems that IP based PTZ controllers aren't too common. Anyone ever try this or know of any that work?
Bumping, any updates on this feature? This would make remote management of cameras attached to the NVR so much easier as I could hit them over my network vs needing to manipulate them from the NVR.
I will throw my hand in in requesting this feature as well. Being able to disable HTTP completely would be nice, and also being able to install my own SSL certificate.
I 100% second this suggestion. I recently hooked up one of my cameras directly to my NVR, normally I hook them up to switches elsewhere in my network. I was rather disappointed to find that it assigned it its own IP address on a 172.16.x.x network. I would MUCH rather have at least an OPTION to set the Reolink ports to act simply as a network switch and send all traffic to my router so that I can control IP assignments from there and access the cameras via IP address on my own network so I can do maintenance such as firmware updates. Thanks
Hi allI’ve brought this up before and was told it was not a feature, but now making it a feature request. I’ve had great luck with voicing issues and feature requests on the forum and then seeing improvements in the software and firmware, so I’m hoping for the same here. All of my NVRs are set to record constantly. I want to be able to have 24/7 footage. However, on the NVR console itself, you can search for motion only events to get to parts of the recording footage where motion was detected. But this can only be done on the NVR itself plugged into a monitor Please please please make this a feature available and the desktop and more importantly mobile app. Again, I want to retain 24/7 recording, but I would love to be able to filter out and only see the motion events on the app so I can get to parts where the activity happens and then review extended footage before and after the motion. I know I’m not the only one looking for this. After recommending and assisting installation of two NVR systems, both asked about this ability. I’m sure there are plenty more out there. This would be a huge improvement to your playback feature and it’s sonething already implemented on the NVR itself. Thanks
I also experience the same issue sporadically. My carrier is AT&T and I believe they may be blocking or severely restricting access to the UPnP servers that are used when you don’t set up port forwarding and static IP addresses.
When trying to submit my application for the 5MP prototype, I keep getting the error "Submission Failed. Please try to submit again."All of the fields are properly populated and I have tried to submit multiple times with no lucky.2017-07-25-19_50_49-Get-a-Prototype-of-Reolink-5MP-RLC-410-Security-Camera-–-Play-Say.png
Is there a centralized document that contains all change logs for each camera? Right now the change-log files just show the difference between the current firmware and the last release. But, for example, if I miss two or three firmware releases, I want to be able to see all changes that have been made sorted by the firmware release.
You could use a WiFi Access Point in Client mode. TP-Link makes a lot of inexpensive products that can do this.
The RLN8 comes preinstalled with a 2TB HDD. The spec sheet online says the max supported capacity is 4TB. Is that 8TB total (4 on the internal Sata on 4 on the eSATA?) or 4TB total, meaning I can either swap the internal to a 4TB and that would be it or only add 2TB to the external? Thanks
The ability to drag and drop or reorder streams on the home screen of the camera app would be nice. E.g. I added a new camera so it now shows below my previously added cameras, but I actually want it higher to the top. Currently the only way to do that would be to delete the higher cameras, then re-add them. Being able to reorder without deleting would be nice.
