Hi Cynthia,8.3.1 fixed it for me (Windows).I installed through the .exe file I guessed from your link with the .rar file.Thanks.
Yesterday I updated the Windows desktop client from v 8.2.6 to v 8.3.0.I loaded the software from https://reolink.com/de/software-and-manual/After installation (and yes, I also restarted the PC) the software loads, everything looks normal and the cameras report connection. But all of a sudden, before I get to see camera images, the whole program-window is covered by (or turned into) a black screen. So nothing to see there and no controls; the only way out is by killing the program with right-click on the taskbar-button ("Close window").I never had that with 8.2.6. What happened here? Can I download v 8.2.6 somewhere?
My app is working again. I guess, the app is connecting to a server on the Reolink side, something was broken there and they fixed it.Maybe someone in charge can shed some light on this?
Hi,this morning, the mobile app on my android phone refused to start. I first get a white screen, afterwards the app crashes. The log shows the errorEXEPTION=java.lang.IllegalStateException\: Expected BEGIN_ARRAY but was NUMBER at line 1 column 1 path $The app worked fine until now, nothing changed since yesterday, no updates or new cams, so I have no idea what could be the cause of this.I deleted the app's cache but the problem persists.Next thing I would try is to uninstall/reinstall the app, but I guess I would have to manually add all my cams, which is a nightmare. Is there a way to avoid this? Like locating the configuration file backing it up and restoring it afterwards?

What if you paint the camera black, but the camera gets an issue that is covered by warranty? Will having it painted void that warranty?
Just wanted to report the same; an upcoming version should contain the corrected update link.By the way: shouldn't it be labeled "Update" instead of "Upgrade" since it is just about getting a new version of the same client, not about upgrading to a version with a different set of functionality?
Speaking of hiding: Since all Reolink cameras come in signal white, why isn't there a black cover for other models than the Argus 2? I have a RLC-511W and a RLC-511 and like to make them less visible, will there be a black rubber cover like the ones for the Argus 2?
Go to https://reolink.com/de/software-and-manual/ and hover over the button that fits your system, e.g. "Download for PC". You'll find the current 7.x-software in 32 and 64 bit and the 8.0.5 beta below.
Is this the right place to give feedback about the client-software beta version?I installed v8.0.5 which IMO is a big step forward compared to the old 7.x branch. Well done.I noticed two things:1) It would be nice if there was a mode where the client's image screen aspect ratio would always correspond to the one of the displayed camera.2) Is there a way to not automatically connect to the cameras on client startup?I am thinking about my battery powered Argus 2 cameras and assume that the connection process puts a strain on the battery (even if not much).
