Argus 3 (pro) PIR and working schedule experience

Hello all,
what are yours experiences with Argus 3 (pro)?
Were there any fix/updates?

I'm impressed with video quality day/night in this price category, but I see many complains about the detection.

I mean, camera which records person going away or not catching someone at all is useless (or not useless but for such purpose-"detection someone was there" you don't need good video qual. and can get something much more cheaper).

Based on this reviews it looks that PIR range during day is around 6m(20ft) only? Based on the fact most of us will install it out of thief reach (so at least 3.5m above ground) by simple math we can get the result that person will be detected (if) at about 5m (x-axis) away from camera. Connected with claimed starting time cca 0.8s (probably longer) it is more clear why there are only recordings of people going away (if any).

Based on this review it looks that camera is activated even outside scheduled recording, thus wasting energy.

Thanks, I'm just trying to make my mind about this camera. If there was not those issues, it's clear choice.
