Motion Detection At Night

Has anyone else noticed (with the 410ws and 411ws) that motion detection is much more sensitive and seemlingly erratic at night? I have my camera set to 30 and based on previous emails with support here is how motion detection works:

There are 1-50 levels to be chosen for Motion Sensitivity

1. level 10: It will trigger motion when there is 0.5% of the video area with motion
1. level 50: It will trigger motion when there is 10% of the video area with motion

In the daytime, it is suggested to set lower value to make higher sensitivity, while in the night time, it is suggested to set higher value to make lower sensitivity.

... but I'm noticing that I'm getting motion triggered recordings where there seems to be no motion at all (like this video)... I'm getting dozens of these every night... probably 40+, all of which are false alarms.

Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome! I'd love to see Reolink spend some time improving their motion detection algorithms to include things like:

'How long motion is detected' before a recording is triggered so it doesn't catch a bug flying across the screen (which happens a lot at night)

'Level of contiguous motion' so that things like trees with random blowing leaves don't trigger motion.

'Auto detect night' so that motion sensitivity could easily be altered for day/night based on the need for infrared/etc.

Thoughts?

During the night, since the background is all black and very quiet, the motion detection feature will seem more sensitive at night, particularly when using low-light or active infrared cameras, and motion will be easily triggered by mistake, even noise or light changing may trigger MD.

It is suggested to set the sensitivity low in the night, you may even set the sensitivity to 50. in addition, please give a try to reduce the area that is sensitive to motion, clear the area you do not necessarily need motion detect.
