It would be nice if the PTZ menu that pops up from Live View could dock in the black area on the left side of the screen.

I have used Axis cameras with their Companion client for several years and their client has fast forward and reverse buttons on the playback menu which is really helpful for zipping through clips when looking for something. It is often easier than dragging the pointer back and forth. There is also a jump back 5 seconds button on Axis and you can advance or go back a day with buttons or bring up a calendar for a large change of date. I realize some of this is what I am used to, but overall, I find playback is easier to use with Axis. I am in the situation of needing to run two systems due to Axis moving away from the residential market/price range and their PTZ and zoom stuff has gotten rather stiff in price and I now need those capabilities.

Thanks! I am enjoying my 823A and about to add a lot of white light for night use in hopes of being able to get forensic quality at night around our vehicles.

@user_597307671535691_597307671535691 PTZ controls are placed at the edges of the screen for RLC511WA and E1 OD respectively and don't disturb the view. In playback, calendar is readily available and you can fast forward up to 16x. But yes reverse, forward and stop buttons don't exist at all and are undoubtelt more convenient than moving a bar. We provide a lot of suggestions but they prioritise bugs over enhancement. I would certainly have different teams.

The 16x playback is better than the 8x you get with Axis to be sure, but the forward and backward buttons for date as well as the calendar are nice to have. Fixing bugs takes priority in my mind, but perhaps they can add these things at some point. I have some motion floods ordered to see if I can perk up the night performance. Axis seems better, but all of my Axis cameras have 2.8mm lenses, so if some isn't really close, you don't get much. The RLC-823A is so nice in daylight that it is frustrating to not be able to do better at night. I think the solution is simple, lots of light.
