I know that the RLC-410's shutter speed can be adjusted in black and white mode down to about 10ms  (after that the video is a little messy), but what is the fastest actual shutter speed in color mode. I am trying to record a license plate on slow moving cars (less than 5 mph) and it is just not working unless in black and white mode. I would like to know what the shutter speed actually is in color, and if there are any hints on how to record a moving object a little more clearly.  Thanks!

The shutter speed in color mode is auto as far as I know.

That is not an answer. "What is the fastest shutter speed on the camera in color mode", was the question. So assuming ideal conditions for max shutter speed, what would it be?   Hoping for Reolink to give a more detailed response.

Documentation and specifications published to their site say the camera has a speed of (https://reolink.com/product/rlc-410/):

            • Electronic Shutter Speed:  Auto/Manual 1/50~1/1000

I would suspect that you would need to go into "manual mode" and adjust the speed to one that you find works in color mode for the specific situation.

You cannot adjust the shutter speed in manual mode while in color. By the way, if you try the shutter speed at 1/1000, you will have a weird interference (shadows going up and down the screen quickly) - again only possible in black and white mode. I can't believe that the max shutter speed is only 1/1000 still. Other similar cameras can be adjusted to more than 1/100,000. This camera's shutter speed is actually 1000 times poorer than many others out there (of comparable price).  ---- Again, what is the max shutter speed for color mode (if the camera was looking straight at the sun if that helps). Again, are there any other hints to improve clarity on a slow moving object?

Other similar cameras can be adjusted to more than 1/100,000——This is ridiculous. Show me one of this, I will buy immediately.

Just to add: 1/100,000 of one sec is so short. Using this shutter can produce images of  nothing more than pure darkness...

                    http://www.hikvision.com/us/Products_1_10531_i8708.html      -- 3mp up to 1/100,000 shutter speed.

Of course 1/100,000 would be nearly pointless (unless viewing the sun), but try 1/1000 on the RLC-410 and tell me what happens. Again, I'm not downplaying reolink, I just spent $5000 with them. All I want to know is what their shutter speed is in color. Everything in color is blurry if I pause or take a snapshot of something moving (even fairly slowly).  Thanks!
