New owner here. Picked up a Home Hub Pro, WiFi doorbell and a handful of PoE cameras. Cameras are not here yet so I can not yet determine if my issue is with the doorbell only or if it is more widespread.

EDIT #1: I do have a RLC-843WA which I am planning to return so I did not bother opening it until this evening. I can confirm that the issue below also plagues this camera, both WiFi and wired connectivity.

Network topology:

Dell Gigabit L2 switch in the basement servicing the 1st floor and an industrial L2 switch in my garage attic for the 2nd floor. Switches are linked via a 2 member Gigabit LAG.Two VLANS--VLAN1 for general use, VLAN25 for Reolink wired LAN.Xfinity XB8 modem in bridge mode with 1.2Gbps service (920Mbps realized) connected to Alien router.AmpliFi Alien router (1st floor) connected to Dell switch with wired backhaul Alien mesh point (2nd floor via industrial switch)Home Hub Pro WAN port on VLAN1 via industrial switch, LAN port on VLAN25 via industrial switch (no cameras yet however).Various Google Home and Chromecast devices via wired and WiFi connections on VLAN1.

Problem:

Live video on my iPhone via the Reolink app is normal--maybe 1/2 second to 1 second latency. The problem is when we stream the doorbell to a Google display or Chromecast connected TV. There is 7-9 seconds of video latency with frequent buffering. The latency is present through all 10 minutes (or whatever the duration is) of the max stream duration. It is absolutely useless.

Troubleshooting:

Issue occurs regardless of Home Hub Pro connection point (Dell or industrial switch)Issue occurs regardless of use of Home Hub Pro or not (have reset doorbell and setup both ways).Issue occurs even with 100% doorbell WiFi signal strength.Issue occurs with both wired and wireless Google devices.Have tried various frame rates in the camera settings (unsure which video stream is used for casting so I tested them all).

I have Googled for days and can not find anything helpful. Anyone?

EDIT #2: So I'm pretty sure I know what is causing it. I incorrectly assumed that the Home Hub Pro would stream cameras directly to Google devices the same way it will directly stream to the Reolink app if on the same network. While streaming to a Chromecast TV I unplugged my router and BAM!... feed went out. That tells me that the video is streaming to a server somewhere and then streaming back to my TV. Why not just bake that into the HHP firmware and let it all be local? UGH.

Why does the name of the video file (time) on the MicroSDXC card not correspond to the real time on the video?
