Lightning and slaving NVRs

Unfortunately lightning took out all my house mounted camera (wired) and the communications in my NVR. My NVR still works as a monitor and recorder as far as I know. I have replaced my system but am wondering if there was any way to slave the old NVR with a bad modem to my new unit? It would be nice to double the amount of available cameras

@n9724w_396710203670663 I don't know if you can plug one NVR into the port of another NVR if that's what you are asking. I had a close lightning strike last year, shorted out my smoke alarms, one Reolink camera, my POE switch and router. Thankfully no fire. An electrician suggested I put a circuit breaker on my main breaker box, don't know if that would have helped.
