I’m using several Reolink E1 Outdoor PoE cameras with local SD card storage and would like to implement the following automated behavior using multiple external motion sensors:

      Objective:

When a specific external motion sensor (e.g., Aqara, Shelly – connected via Home Assistant, ioBroker, or n8n) detects movement:

      1. The assigned camera should move to a corresponding PTZ preset
      2. Then start auto-tracking the detected object (typically a person)
      3. And start or continue recording during the event

This should work individually per sensor and preset – for example:

      • Motion at the gate → move to preset 1 (front view)
      • Motion at the garden → move to preset 2 (side view), etc.

      My questions:

      • Has anyone successfully implemented this type of automation using external logic (HA / n8n / ioBroker) with the E1 Outdoor PoE?
      • Are PTZ preset calls via HTTP or ONVIF working reliably on this model?
      • Is Auto-Tracking triggered automatically once the preset is reached, or does it only engage when internal motion detection is triggered?
      • Are there any known limitations or firmware restrictions on the E1 Outdoor PoE that prevent external control of presets, tracking, or recordings?

      Background:

Presets are manually configurable via the Reolink App or Windows Client, and I’d like to automate them based on multiple trigger zones, while still using the camera’s own object detection and tracking to follow targets once in position.
Any tips, experience reports, or technical workarounds would be highly appreciated.
      Thanks in advance!
