I think Reolink dropped the ball by not including an on/off switch on the Argus/Keen battery cameras and here's why. It's more convenient to flick a switch to turn the camera off, when not needing them for extended times to save battery life, than it is to remove the batteries. And leaving them in standby mode still drains previous battery power. And as we all know CR123A batteries are expensive, even the rechargeable versions. A tiny on/off switch on each camera wouldn't have added much to the production cost.
Agreed! I can't even believe there isn't a simple on/off switch on these Argus wifi cams. That's just silly.
I might just void their warranty and install an on/off switch myself. The savings in extending the life of the batteries would be worth it.
One is left to wonder: Why? “Remove battery to switch off” is just dumb.
