I finished installing both RLC-411WS cameras today outdoors and they were working perfectly.... I noticed the firmware version was outdated and performed a remote firmware update on one of the cameras.Following the update I'm unable to login to the camera I updated. The software client on my MAC is unable to find it. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. They provide the security and remote monitoring I need for my homeBTW, I love the cameras. Very high quality, easy to initially install. Just need to get around this one issue.Regards,Mike Dyer
I had to remove the RLC-411WS from it's mount and reconnect it to the router to gain access and reconfigure the system. Extra work I was not expecting and a huge inconvenience. The upgrade procedures did not state I would lose WiFi IP settings after a firmware update. Is this normal behavior? Can I expect to lose configuration and access every time the system performs an automatic maintenance upgrade? Is there another step or procedure that was left out of the REO pdf guide? I need to upgrade the other remaining 411WS camera but do not have time to remove it from the mount in the top of my carport before I have to travel for business. Any information you can provide will be appreciated.Mike Dyer
Hello Mike,When upgrading the firmware, please do not check Upgrade Configuration File, otherwise, the configuration including Wi-Fi settings will all be set to default, you'll have to configure the camera again. But it is suggested to reset the camera after upgrading to the latest firmware, you may do that when it is convenient for you to do that.
