active time
-
Hello. I am new to security cameras and literally clueless. I have been looking at a number of brands/models. I like the specs on the Argus2 but I don't know how these cameras work.
I'd really just like to mount one in a somewhat concealed location and have it 'wake up' after, say, 11PM and remain active until day 6AM and do nothing during the day unless I reset for more time.
I would like it to motion and heat detect...people mostly, not birds or cat or dogs (I suspect automobiles are inevitable)...and record to an SD drive. I am not sure how the wifi business would work but I don't really want anything going to the cloud.
Will the Argus 2 or 3 do that?
Where can I get some real detailed information on how to a camera like this works. (I have looked at the videos here and read the info and found it falling a little short of what I need to know.)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -
The Argus 2 and Argus 3 detect the motion via PIR. And they will go to standby mode if there is no motion detected. You can open a ticket via this link: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. We will recommend a suitable model according to your requirement.

It would seem that you cannot schedule record times for battery powered cameras.
