Hi,I upgraded the firmware on my new RLC-411WS to version 1168_16070807.I followed the instructions and selected the option "Update Configure File". The update completed successfully, however, after a restart the camera is no longer attached to my router (via WiFi). Did this option mean that the configuration would be overwritten (not very clear if that is the case)? Is there anyway to connect to the camera directly via the LAN cable to my laptop rather than connecting it directly to my router? The camera is not close to the router which means I would have to retrieve the camera from a relatively inaccessible location...
yes, if "Update Configure File" is ticked when you did the firmware upgrade, the configuration will be reset to default value.I'm really sorry to tell you that we cannot hook up the camera to the laptop directly since the camera is using DHCP as the default network mode and will need a router to issue an IP address. In that case, the camera needs to be plugged into the router.Do you have any extra router? If yes, you could use another router to connect your laptop and the camera, then configure the Wi-Fi Settings of it, once the camera is wirelessly connected to the main router, you can remove the Ethernet connection.Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
After upgrading my RLC_$11WS to the latest software version (1168_16070807) I am no longer able to play back any downloaded video files. The Reolink Client produces a debug assertion in debugheap.c on local playback of the file. The SD card has been reformatted. No problems before the upgrade.undefined

To Forum Admin: I'm new to the Reolink product. I updated the firmware as soon as I receive my camera. So I haven't actually tried the Local Playback feature. However, looking at the Local Playback control, it has many functionality, which normal video player cannot to.I wonder if you the development team can add MP4 compatibility to the Local Playback feature. With those features, I have a better chance to capturing what I need when there is a problem. Thanks.
We will forward this to our technical team, thanks for your feedback.
