      1) The manual calls for checking the LED with no picture to illustrate. I assume the LED is the small speck at the bottom of the front side of the camera. It is not coming on.

      2) Camera is consuming 20mA, so it has some life.

      3) I can cause the IR LEDs to illuminate by darkening the receptor. Camera goes to 40mA when those are active.

      4) Case is warm to the touch which I know is normal as my others do the same.

      5) I cannot locate the camera on my network (directly connected to my computer), either by your client or by nestat -a.

      6) I have a 9 camera system at present, but three of my Toshibas are now approaching 10 years. I'd like to upgrade, but so far unable with this camera.

      7) Troubleshooting steps in your manual are poorly written for this situation. Suggest a picture of the the LED when active so others won't be guessing like me.

      8. I have attempted the camera reset multiple times. Camera goes to 10mA during the initial reset and resumes 20mA thereafter, so I assume it is resetting itself, however no new IP information and no LED.

      Thanks for any assistance.

        Hello GasPath,

the LEDs on the camera will not light on during the daytime, they will be on when it's getting dark. To check whether the camera is powered on properly, please cover the sensor(receptor) light, if the LEDs turn red, it means the camera is up and running.

As to the IP address issue, the camera uses DHCP as the Network Type by default, in that case, you will have to plug the camera to a router which will assign an IP address to the camera. Please do not directly connect your camera to the computer since computer cannot function as a DHCP sever.
