      Hello,

I have an RLC-422 where I use the HTTP URL to get a JPEG snapshot every 10 seconds. After doing this for several hours, the snapshot feature stops working. It just returns
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
      <ResponseStatus version="1.1">
      <statusCode>400</statusCode>
      <statusString>FAILED</statusString>

      instead of a jpeg.

If I reboot the camera, it starts working again.

The live video via web page still works fine, as does video from Blue Iris, so it's limited to the snapshot function.

I am using the same version of firmware that's on your website.

I am doing the same thing with an RLC-420 and RLC-411 with no issues.

      Any idea what's going on?

      Thankyou.

You can follow below command to get the camera JPEG URL
        http://IP Address:Port/cgi-bin/snap.cgi?user= yourusername&password=yourpassword
        For Example :
        My IP address is 192.168.2.175
        http port is 80
        Username is admin
        password is 12345
        so my input as below
        http://192.168.2.175:80/cgi-bin/snap.cgi?user=admin&password=12345

Yes, that's what I'm doing, and it only works for a few hours before it breaks and I have to reboot the camera to get it working again.

Disappointed in the lack of response here. My RLC-420 is now doing something similiar. After a few days of working, the snap.cgi starts returning a zero length file.

You have a stability issue here that needs addressing I think.

Which version for your model RLC-420? Could you kindly update to the latest version from : https://reolink.com/firmware

Then use below URL to get the snapshot:
              http://ipaddress/cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Snap&channel=0&rs=wuuPhkmUCeI9WG7C&user=admin&password=

                Hello,

I have installed the 1168_16070800 on my RLC-420. It's having the same problem still.

The snapshot feature works for a few hours, then starts returning a 0 length file. I must reboot the camera to get it to work again. And then, it works for a few hours, then stops working.

I updated to the 1168_16070800 on my RLC-420. It's having the same problem still.

I have also noticed now with this new firwware when the snapshot breaks, I can also no longer log in via the web page. After entering the user/password, it comes up with a big "login failed. Can not access device".

I was able to log in using the Windows REOLINK client with the same uid/password to reboot the camera.

It's interesting to note that my RLC-410 which has been running for several weeks, does NOT have this problem. But my RLC-420 and RLC-422 develop the problem after only a couple of hours.

I am using wget and getting about 12 images per minutes.

Please kindly provide the firmware version of your devices, including the 410, 420 and 422.
Also please confirm that if you ticked the Update Configure File when you updated. We suggest to tick it when upgrade.

I am using the 1168_16070800 on the 420. I did update the configuration file when updated (you need to come up with a way to NOT do that on upgrades, that's not very consumer friendly).

I have not updated the firmware on the 422 as the other issues with the new firmware are worse.

The 410 is running 16041900. -< this is the only one where the snapshot isn't failing.

                          The 422 is running 16041904.

It would at least be nice if you could release the CGI info so I could at least reboot once an hour until this resolved.

Hi, we have found the problem. And it will be solved in next firmware upgrade.

                                  Hello?

When can we expect new firmware with the snapshot issue resolved? These cameras are useless to me until this problem is fixed!

Hi, before the new firmware released we need a lot of test for it. And it takes time, please kindly give us more patience.

It's now been 2 months since I reported this issue.  When can I expect updated firmware to be available?

I'm having the same issue.  After grabbing jpegs for a day or so (once a minute), the camera needs rebooted.  I have to use the client software to reboot as the web interface won't even let me log in.

We are planning to release the new cameras firmware later this week after a few more tests.

                                          Thank you for your understanding.
