One of the cameras I have on my property always seem to have issues with water getting in the ethernet plug. I noticed ant everywhere around the enclosure and ethernet cable housing. Has there been issues with ants compromising the water proofing around the plug. I installed the third camera in this position. I added some dielectric grease inside the casing to provide and extra level of protection. Now I have two cameras with corroded plugs. I'm thinking about replacing the plugs and testing them. Any advice on a good replacement for the plug?
Sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding this issue, could you please submit a request to support@reolink.com?
That wasn't helpful either. After answering a bunch of questions over four emails.
Hi TioDave,Yeah, that's a great idea to use some 3d print!!Currently, there is not any other things can replace the enternet plugs.Maybe you can check if it is possible to cut the enternet plug and just follow the cable order to connect the camera's cable and your cat6 cable together directly, throw the enternet plug, then use some mackintosh to cover the splice. Just an idea, not sure if it is suitable for you.Best Regards,Reolink Support Team –Sarah
