eSata External HDD Wont Initialize

trying to add an external drive, the NVR see's it but initialization fails, any ideas ?

Hi, please kindly check if your drive mount or not. The path is Menu->Device->HDD, refer to below pic

If it didn't mount, please kindly remove the outer casing of the NVR using the screwdriver then try to replace it to the build-in HDD to test.
