Hello,I’m a new Member and have something to share with everyoneThe elements of the picture towards the image quality of the camera:1. The lens2. Image sensor3. image signal processor5. image compression StandardAre looking forward to receiving the comments of the peopleThanks!
Yes - all good points. Most important element of all is the lens.A high quality, large aperture (relative to the image sensor) lens is critical to picture quality. Also, color depth. HDR10 makes a huge difference.Reolink has plans for optical zoom - which is very important.Another very important thing is HDR - high dynamic range.Log profiles (gamma curve) technology has a huge impact on video quality. So - true enough - picture quality is critical. But, as you point out - image compression is important because if you want to get the image somewhere wirelessly you are going to need to squeeze it down to some reasonable size - so H.265 compression is the only way to go. And 5Ghz wifi isn't going to cut it because it can't go through walls very well and so you'll probably be using 2.4Ghz to get a reasonable distance from the camera. But I will say - it is amazing that our farm - which is waaay out in the middle of nowhere gets a great cellular LTE signal from AT&T.
