The Lumus is a great camera for its specs. I was worried that a WIFI camera with a modest 1080 res would not be clear enough in the doorway where we needed a close focused camera, but I am pleasantly surprised by its performance. In lieu of an actual doorbell camera this works great in conjunction with a Zwave remote switch. If it could be put into actual portrait mode it would be perfect. Turned on its side gives it a complete view of our doorway and sidewalk, all the way to the street in front of our house, some 30 ft away, but the image is on its side. Not a deal breaker, but it seems like this would be easily accomodated with a firmware tweak.

A couple of years ago we got fed up with the lackluster performance of our monitored security service and ever since I've been building a system to give us similar remote user functions. Reolink's remote access, detection alarm and recording software are truly incredible and I've moved away from my mixed vendor setup using third party NVR to a Reolink only camera setup. As I've seen others lament, a doorbell camera is a needed addition. For the time being, the Lumus camera will do well for our home wiht that one caveat of the image orientation.

Anyone else try this camera for this use?
