I'm in the process of trying to set-up 4 new Reolink RLC-810A cameras with a brand new Synology's NAS running Surveillance Station. Synology clearly states via it’s website that the Reolink 810A is supported in Surveillance Station. That being said, I've attempted the Add Camera function many times, trying the various different connection options via the camera settings without success. The RLC-810A’s are easily logged into and configured via a web browser (both macOS/Brave Browser, and Linux/Firefox worked). When accessing any of the RLC-810A’s, if the 'ONVIF ‘ and port 8000 connection options are enabled the cameras and their MAC addresses become visible in Surveillance Station, but that is all. A configuration is not uploaded, nor can the camera be authenticated. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! DS220+ - DSM V 7.1-42661 Update 4Surveillance Station: System V 9.0.1-76734 X Reolink RLC-810A – Firmware: v3.1.0.956_22041503 powered via a Unifi Toughswitch PoE Pro
I have a setup with SS 9.01 and four Reolink Cams. One being RLC-810A and three being RLC-820A. I believe 810 and 820 share the same code and hw base.I never setup my cams using ONVIF. I select the cams manually using IP-address, brand (Reolink) and model (RLC-810A). This way I ensure I get the Synology built-in advanced features such as Person, vehicle and per detection, which by the way works flawlessly in 4K resolution. I do always create a seperate userid inside the camera for my SS9 to authenticate. This is to avoid using the standard "Admin" account which does not bring much security in my view. I setup that user under System -> User-management in the web-client of the cams. Be sure to create such as user as administrator since SS9 needs to be able to manipulate camera settings as you set them under in SS9.On my cameras I have enabled nothing but HTTPS on port 443 and RTSP on port 554. I did that using the web-interface on cameras (you can also use the Reolink Client). In the SS9 IP Cam settings App (under information) I also made sure to select Firmware: >= FW 3.0.0.250_21040803 during setup. Under Advanced I simply selected:Transport protocol: AutoKeep-alive methid: Options (default)Streaming source information: RTSPFrame time correction: By streamingUnder Event detection and Advanced detection I can slect Person, Vehicle and Pet as I see fit. This only becomes selectable when using non ONVIF (Hence why I don't use ONVIF).I hope this helps.
