Hi,
I am interested in the new Reolink doorbell, PoE version. I am not willing to use WiFi at all at home. Is it possible to have this doorbell working with such setup?
My guess :
I can connect the doorbell to a PoE router, which is wired to my Internet Box.
-> Then, is it supposed to work directly as it is or should I also connect a Chime box/device to my network to get the doorbell working?
In such case, I am afraid that the Chime device can only be connected to my network through WiFi, not through RJ45 Ethernet wire. Is it correct? Then not compatible with my wish to have to WiFi at home.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
PS: parallel question, is it possible to wire the doorbell directly to my Reolink NVR, using one of the 8 ports?Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@pab_276175744979080 Hi Pab.
I heard back from the Reolink Pre-sale Team:The Chime would connect to the POE/Wifi IP Doorbell cameras via RF 433.92MHz.
Reolink doorbell PoE - no wifi at all?
