I have 4 cameras, 2-RLC-410-5MP, 1-RLC-410WS and 1-RLC-510A. I plugged them all into my RLN8-410 NVR. Only 2 cameras appeared, the 2 RLC-410-5MP. The other two cameras had to be plugged into the router. The 2 plugged into the router were given 5 digit IPs while the two that automatically showed up on the NVR were assigned 8 digit IPs. Apparently the 410-5MPs work well with the NVR but unfortunately are no longer available. Anyone have any recommendations for two cameras that will automatically show up on the NVR as I have have no plugs left on the router. Also does anyone know why I can't download from my NVR to a laptop on the same network? I can see and play the clips but can't download them. Any help appreciated.

It sounds like the two cameras that automatically showed up on the NVR are compatible with the NVR's protocol, while the other two cameras may not be. For recommendations on compatible cameras, you may want to check with the NVR manufacturer or consult with a professional installer. As for downloading from the NVR to your laptop, you may need to ensure that the proper software is installed on your laptop and that the settings on the NVR allow for downloading.
