The Short Story:When attempting to connect a working E1 Zoom to a new WAP, I wind up with a client-issued QR held 8 inches from the cam, but the cam not recognizing it and just going on-and-on with the new-camera setup prompts. The Long Story: I have been trying to follow the Reolink video "How to Connect Your Wireless Cameras to a New WiFi"The video advises: Client / (camera) / Settings / Network / Saved WiFi / (SSID of old WAP) / (list of available WAPs) / **** At this point, the SSID of the old WAP is no longer shown bc it is no longer within range and has been replaced by "Reset".** Clicking "Reset" brings up a window that advises "Please make sure the camera is powered and turned on"** Clicking "Next" on that window brings up another window that advises "All settings will be erased once the device is reset. To reset, please follow the onscreen instructions until you hear the voice prompt". ** But THERE ARE NO ONSCREEN INSTRUCTIONS beyond the above mentioned.** Clicking "I didn't hear the voice prompt" reveals an advisory the long-press the camera's "Reset" button and a "Confirm" button.** I used a paper clip to press and hold the E1 Zoom's Reset button for six seconds and waited for the camera's voice prompts to begin, but nothing seemed to happen.** In past iterations, I have been able to get a voice prompt from the camera, and clicking the client's "I have heard the voice..." button resulted in the client throwing a QR pattern that was to be presented to the camera at a distance of 8 inches. I did this a number of times, but the camer never reacted and it's voice peompts just continued in a manner seemingly not related to the client's instructions.I am guessing that client-issued QR contains some mojo that tells the cam the name and maybe PW of the the WAP that the client's device is connected to.
