      Hello, I have two questions:

      1. I just bought a Reolink NVR 36. I like it. I installed one HDD Seagate 8TB working fine. If I buy two more HDD and install them, I'm wondering how they work. With three drives does the NVR keep recording to drive one til it's full, then switch to drive two, then drive three? Or do they all run at the same time and the NVR splits the videos up, putting some videos on each drive at different times? If I turn on overwrite on drive one will the videos just keep recording to it and the other two drives not be used? On Reolink Reddit forum a user said all installed drives will be used, the NVR records at different times to each drive.
      2. With motion detection, does the general motion detection setting have anything to do with the AI detection or are they unrelated? Can I keep general motion detection to only 1, but person, vehicle high and it will work ok? I assumed the general motion setting is interconnected with AI detection in terms of distance of detection?

@md Nobody responded so I'll answer myself. 1. Reolink support said the NVR records to first HDD that's installed. When it fills up the recordings go to the second drive. If overwrite is on first drive, the NVR keeps recording to it. Reolink NVRs do not alternate between HDD to record like RAID capable systems. 2. Reolink support said the general motion sensor does nothing for cams with AI, it only functions with non AI cams.

With the Reolink NVR, when you install multiple hard drives, [Mapquest Directions](https://mapquestdirectionss.io) it generally does not record to one drive until it's full and then switch to the next.
