Camera output only visible in 4 camera view

I installed a new RLC-510A camera on my system (RLN8-410-E) as the original camera stopped working. The new camera is detected and seems to work fine if I am in 4 or 9-camera display mode. However, if I double-click on that camera to switch to just that camera, I get a black screen (not the VIDEO LOSS one). Also, the output of the camera is not being recorded.
Any ideas on what I need to do to get this to work properly?
