I have the 16 channel NVR and currently 5 cameras attached directly to the device. In the client software, the list of cameras is the channel number instead of the camera name. Is there a way to change this?I had some other issues but the latest update to the client seems to have worked them all out. Thank you!
I have had the 16-channel NVR with 14 cameras; some direct and other indirectly attached to the NVR. I am not aware of a way to change the listed channels on the right of the client (Mac which I use). I often do not need the camera name unless I want to preview video and only include specific cameras in my selection. I just written down the camera channel numbers from the live view and select them when doing my preview. There have been times that I realized I did not select the right one and had to guess until the right one was chosen.I can see how having the camera name or something like that (or an option) than just the channel numbers listed in this area. Is your biggest issue when previewing because all five should come up when you are in live mode in the order of the channels themselves.I would suggest this be an added feature or option for people that want the camera name. There may be limitations to the channel fields so only a portion of the name could be showing.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's really not too big of a deal with only 5 cameras, but sometimes even with that few I forget which is which. This is more on an annoyance for playback as you can only view 4 at a time. As I add cameras it will certainly get harder to remember, so would be nice to be able to see the list of camera names rather than channel numbers.
It is not available to change channel name on NVR interface or Reolink Client (neither Reolink App). Currently, you can change the camera name for each camera on NVR interface, so you can decide which camera is it from its display when you choose a channel.
