unable to access local or remote playback
-
Hi there,
I am unable to access any local playback thru the client software. It records videos and saves them to C:RecordFile, but nothing shows up in the playback mode.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

What camera(s) are you using? Looks like Windows client based on the image. Any additional details you can provide around your setup? Does the camera(s) have its/their own flash card(s), or not? I do not use the client to record my captured video, I use the Reolink NVR so I can be sure it will be saved even when I do not have a client running.

@nickh88
I assumed recordings were saved to local since you mentioned the path is "C:RecordFile". Please kindly note that the "Playback" in Reolink Client is ONLY for REMOTE playback. (recordings on camera SD card or HDD of NVR.)
Recordings from our cameras are .mp4 format and it is available to open with most common media players. Please open the local recordings with media players directly on the PC. -
Thanks for the information!
I am using a C2 camera and running the client on a windows laptop.
I have a 64GB microsd card in the C2 camera, but I cannot access the camera's playback.
The microsd card is sticking out of the back of the camera about 2 millimeters. that's as far as it will go. When I see screenshots of other people's client software, the playback screen shows more options than mine. Why can't I see these options on my playback screen?

1, please check if SD card is detected first.
2, please double click the camera in the playback device list to start recording searching. Refer to How to remotely playback recordings in SD card of IP camera (Client software) to check if you go through the playback steps correctly.
If no SD card detected or failed to search for recordings, please contact our tech support on support@reolink.com with link to this post as reference.
*also, we appreciate it very much if you can send us a photo showing "the microsd card is sticking out of the back of the camera about 2 millimeters. " in the email.

Hi there,
The SD card wasn't recognized. Once I clicked format in the reolink client for PC (button in picture listed above), then the card was recognized. After than, the camera recorded remotely on the sd card.
Thanks,
Nick
