      I can connect and login to the NVR via my phone, but when I try to view a camera i keep getting OPEN FAILED. I have another user that can login and view the cams with no problem. Both users have full permission

        Hello Deancast,

        May I know what's the system of your phone, is it an Android or IOS? On the other phone which works fine, do they have the same system?

        Is the phone on the same network as the NVR?

          Seems very likely that the phone which failed to work is an Android one and you did not set it right.

            I have this same frustrating problem.  Did you ever find a solution?

            Using 2 ios10 devices:  ipad pro and iphone5.  works ok on home network, but 'open failed' when away from home.

            Kinda defeats the purpose of having security cameras if you can't view them remotely.

              Hi robin

              May I ask if you changed the connect mode to UID when you tried to access the camera remotely(or when your phone is not in the same local network with camera)?
              And please check if it shows camera status is login success on device list.

              You can provide screenshots(device list and live view) to show us the problem as well.
