I have the 4 camera system with an NVR and WiFi cameras. So far I have 2 cameras installed but only camera 1 will show up in the mobile app on my phone. What do I need to do to add the second camera? I can see both cameras on my tv so I know they are both hooked up.
You may want to instead use the NVR for your camera viewing via the mobile app. Instead of logging into each of the four cameras, as long as they are reporting to the NVR, you can just login to the NVR with the client. It should show up as a device in the client called NVR. Once you login to this, you can swipe to see the cameras, or put them in a small 4/9/16 window view, etc. One login to all your devices.
Thanks Quella that is actually how I have it setup. Sorry I'm new to this so I didn't explain properly. When I swipe to what should be Camera2 it just shows the blue reolink screen. But at home on the tv I can see the feed from camera2. I don't know how to get it to show on the phone.
Thanks Quella that's actually how I have it setup, using the NVR on the mobile app. Sorry I'm new to this and didn't explain properly. When I swipe to what should be the next camera I just get the blue reolink screen and not the camera2 feed. At home on the tv though I can see the feed.
No need to be sorry, many of us here are new to it.On the NVR, did you assign the two cameras two different channels? Camera 1 on Channel 1, etc? You can assign a camera to any single channel so camera 13 could be channel 1 if you wanted that camera to be the one shown first on the screen. So, the channel is the placement of the camera in an image order. If you have one set to channel 1 and the other on channel 10, for example, you would need to swipe to that active channel (10) before you saw the video. all the channels between would show as "Signal Lost". When you have the channels configured on the NVR, you should see a number of dots (4/8/16) based on the NVR version. Swiping left or right after you are logged in.Hope that helps some. You may not be connected to the NVR, but Camera1 only. If that is the case, you cannot see the other camera without connecting to that one directly. Doing this would only allow you to view one of the camera's video at a time. If you are in the NVR (make sure it says that when you connect the client) than you should be able to see both with a single swipe.Sorry if that is more confusing now.
You may also want to install and try the Windows/Mac PC client to see if that works as they are very close to the mobile client. Once you feel that you have everything correctly setup up on the NVR based on your PC client, you can try out the mobile one. I think Reolink has done a great job on the various clients (from a Mac/iOS) perspective; I have not tried our Windows or Android versions. So these may be different.Just another recommendation. I like with the NVR that you can have multiple people signed in at a given time using different client, etc.
After double checking the channels on the NVR (they were good) I found a reboot button on the mobile app. I pressed that and it worked. Whatever refresh it did it fixed my issue. Thanks for your suggestions.
Glad you got it working, I was not even aware there was a reset option on the mobile app, I learned something new myself now.
curious how do you have it hooked up to tv
Jeff, you can hook up the NVR to TV if your TV has VGA/HDMI port.
