@crimp-on_62210811129 I think what everyone is answering the issue in different parts of the question. From what I can tell he only set the static ip option on the camera and not the router. If that's so you have to give the camera a static ip on the router first then through the camera app that you have posted here. Most home router don't care about the scope of the ip addresses...in the router or at least mine it lets me choose which one to apply it to along with the MAC address. For everyone reading this and Joseph you help ton's of people out as you know I had the reverse issue as the poster where the camera's were going offline and not connecting unless i power cycle them well the answer was exactly the same thing. I had the IP static on the router but NOT the camera network settings cause I'm on an NVR. Once I had the camera and router synched its been perfect for a week now. 511WA's have log files and it was the only way to find it.
Course the routers have an electrical connection in all rooms. The upside of mesh is I have excellent coverage in every inch of the house and can extend that. The reolink system has been up almost 90 days and here's what I observe. The 511WA are constantly crashing, E1 outdoor once every 30 days. The E1 Pro never, and finally the duo 2 wireless also never. There is a post that the 411 had the same issue as the 511WA's disconnecting and not coming back online. 511WA's managed thru the nvr is 3 bars where as the top of the line mesh show them at full strength. Running a program to monitor 2.4 ghz shows no interference from other homes close by regardless of the channel so gotta call a duck a duck the 511WA have wifi issues which maybe a climate issue but they should reconnect when the environment stabilizes which instead points to an internal issue.
Send it to me let me give you my wifi refi review!!! Reo puts out decent video so I'm not impressed by that but wifi inconsistence is just another boat anchor..
@snorre_653954821296133 it will work on the mesh as either 2.4 or 5ghz. 6ghz will be your backhaul for now until devices add the 6ghz band. Now weather the camera's stay connected is a completely different story. The new DUO 2 and e1 pro camera is real stable. All others is going to be a nightmare with everyone claiming interference from other appliances.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 How would that make any difference? During the crash event it was switching form good to bad within a 30 second period now that the camera is stable the client on windows is fine? If it was just my machine i would accept that but it was blank on the nvr attached to a monitor at the same time.
@user_623715019411529_623715019411529 when camera's crash and go blank on monitors this is what I get on my pc running app. defiantly not a wifi interference issue!
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 actually got the nvr to finally work....the nvr does not have the ability to send email based on camera to guest or friends...its all or nothing but i will send an email to support see what they say. Your method worked to get a password on gmail to work.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Well that may work on individual camera's but not on gmail smtp on the NVR. I don't want the camera's to max out on the cpu since thats seems to be an issue. on the nvr I'm getting 483 event error codes and course support has no answers.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 referring to 511wa and e1 outdoor. The duo 2 does not sem to have an issue maybe because its a dlink? I have not tried the gmail fix because support never brought that up. So on the other issue i shut down everything on the cameras recording, push, and internet access....no crashing. Turn notifications and internet access back on to get them...e1 and 511 crashing again. Power cycle only working to bring back camera meaning something is maxing out if there is any onboard memory needed to flush out...i don't know but thats what its acting like.
@user_647811706265649_647811706265649 Not a possibility....anything that's getting inference shows signs of life but these are crashing hard and has to be power cycle thats not appliances...ask me how I know? Been in IT a long long time using off the shelf reply's won't apply here. Something is maxing out....I removed all duplicate work like only allowing the NVR to process notifications but then none were sent however the system stayed up. I recently turn the notifications on the camera's and getting those but now back to hard crashing. This appears on e1 outdoor and 511wa. The DUO is working fine.
