@myreolink_533265780207845 I compared the physical photos taken from both the Trackmix and the E1 Outdoor Pro. However, if you want to talk maths, just go off the field of views angles shown on the reolink website under the specifications page. I like how transparent they are with the specs and show absolutely everything including the sensor size. The E1 Outdoor Pro's field of view is Horizontal: 94° ~ 50° &, 94/50 = 1.88x zoom. The Trackmix's field of view is Horizontal: 104°-38°, 104/38 = 2.74x zoom.
I now have the E1 Outdoor Pro, E1 Zoom & Trackmix. Has anyone noticed that none of these cameras have 3x optical zoom advertised? This was actually evident going off the viewing angles on the website as it's no where close, the E1 Outdoor Pro has about 1.8x zoom similar to the E1 Outdoor camera. The Trackmix is close and has approx. 2.75x zoom going off the viewing angles which matches the f=2.8mm to 8mm nearly identically. Is there a reason why these cameras were advertised as 3x optical zoom but have such a small zoom compared to the Trackmix? I noticed this when comparing the maximum zoom photo vs the full wide frame photo.
@mamymam2013_465350299701478 Futhermore, wifi 6 doesn't make any difference as wifi 5 is more than fast enough. You're talking 700mbps vs 1100mpbs, however the maximum recording bitrate is only 11mbps for the trackmix's cameras and 8mbps for the E1 Outdoor Pro camera. As you can see, this shouldn't factor into your decision at all.
@mamymam2013_465350299701478 This is actually a pretty easy decision. The Trackmix is definitely the better overall camera, especially if you plan to only have one camera at that angle as it's two cameras in one. However, if you already have other cameras showing that angle or just want to use one purely to get detail on people's faces, then go with the E1 Outdoor Pro. The main benefit of this is that you can vary your zoom level so that it fits what you want perfectly. The trackmix has no actual zoom, it's a wide angle & a telephoto fixed lens (at 2.7x zoom relative to the wide angle lens). This means that if it's too zoomed in then you can't zoom out and you'll miss the detail that you're looking for if you wanted 2.2x zoom or 1.8x zoom etc.Another thing is that at the maximum quality bitrate, the trackmix will take up almost 40% extra storage space. Lastly, the Reolink NVR makes all these cameras so much better.
@crimp-on_62210811129 No, this is not obvious at all. All the other camera providers can do it, why can't Reolink? There is continuous recording, where the camera records 24/7 and then there are notifications which should pop you to the exact right spot to see what the action is. We don't want motion recording because it'll miss 95% of the human detection which is done very poorly on E1 zoom camera (effectively making it a dumb motion detection only camera, no AI to detect humans as it's so useless).Reolink's software only shows the 5 minute videos which are really annoying and a waste of time as the detection software is far inferior to Eufy (shows snap shot, exact length motion video and doesn't miss human/pet detection whilst doing continuous 24/7 recording). It's just such a shame because Reolink has really good hardware (even if the FoV is narrow). They've really got to up their game on the software front and it'll bring them to No. 1. Until this is fixed, I don't think I can buy any more Reolink cameras. They've lost my business.
