I received my RLC-811A last week and installed it the day before yesterday. Ever since, I no longer receive any push notifications from my RLC-510A which I moved to the backyard and my new RLC-811A. I have enabled push notifications for both cameras in the settings and checked the schedule, everything is configured as it should and always has been. The 'test' in the push notification menu also does not work. Both cameras are accessible over WIFI and 3G/4G, they also record vehicles/people/pets motion fine, it's just the push that fails. Android notifications for the Reolink app are also configured as should. Yesterday I cleared the app's cache and data and reconfigured it. The push notifications worked for a short period of time but stopped working the same evening and still fail up until now. What is going on? My mom has a battery powered Reolink and just told me she is also no longer receiving push notifications since recently.
@reolink-fiona I will open a ticket this weekend if I find the time. I tried all settings but currently I can only test late in the evening so only with IR on. You haven't answered my question whether the previous firmware can be flashed over the new firmware though, please let me know.
Is it possible to roll back to the previous firmware for the RLC-510A? The detection with the latest firmware is much worse than the previous firmware. Even with MD set to max (50) and smart detection for both person and vehicle to max (100), it still fails to pick up vehicles and people. My ex came to pick up the kids this morning and I left to work 5 minutes later. That's 4 people and 2 cars on my driveway and not a single thing was recorded!!! I did some testing when I came home and I have the feeling that all motion gets ignored when my light outside turns on. The lamp is in the detection zone of the camera about 9 feet away. I tried hiding it with a privacy mask or covering it in the detection zone but it didn't make a difference. That still doesn't explain why the detection during the day is so bad though.
it doesn't work very well, people detection is not very sensitive. people pass in front of the camera and are not detected. very disappointed
I have the same issue, there is 0 detection of people standing/walking in front of the camera at night with IR. During the day it's a bit better, but I just came home and walked twice past the camera and nothing was detected. Vehicle detection has similar issues, came home last night and parked on my driveway, no motion alerts. I had no issues during the day with the previous firmware so no improvements so far, on the contrary ...I have set both person and vehicle detection sensitivity to 100%, but it doesn't seem to help for person detection up until now. I still need to test for vehicles. Also changed the alarm delay to the recommended settings now, 1s for person, 2s for vehicle. I will keep you updated on the results.
@schonuf 200% supporting point 2! We need rich notifications, many of Reolink's competitors already support this. Also super convenient when you have a smartwatch to see within seconds if the alert is relevant or not. Please please please implement this! It would make the software nearly perfect!
