@reolinkshayla or a 4K version of the CX410? I could really use one of those and get rid of cameras with infrared lights that spiders just LOVE!
@joseph_1979 I fully agree with that comment and idea. I should also add t hat of course the audio on security camera systems is almost as important as the images. It's not difficult to achieve good audio, just look at other cameras like my RLC810A - perfect audio all the time.
Might it be possible to make the playback time line events a better colour? Dark blue on black makes it difficult to see at times and I find I have to increase screen brightness to see all the very small capture events during the day. See my screen shot of what I mean. Maybe white horizontal bar with black events? And please change the times from grey to white! Or user changeable perhaps?
@joseph_1979 Tried all of those except object size which I've never worked out how to use or even seen a video demo of how to set. This is an odd problem and only happens every so often. It seems that the situation has to be 'just right' for it to happen. It is, of course, a pain in the XXXX.
Has anyone else experienced (or is experiencing) triggering in areas that are already covered as "Non-Detection Zones".I have an RLC-810A and it is triggered, sometimes, by cars/vehicles (especially red ones) passing through an already set non detection zone. I've checked the setting to ensure there are no missing squares and have several times now deleted the area and started again. This is not a continuos trigger, but happening every so often. It's interesting that red cars or vehicles seem to do this worse and I was wondering if it's something to do with 'leaky' infra-red detection during the day? Detection does not identify these as 'cars' but rather as a normal 'any motion' event. It seems worse if sensitivity is set too high which is annoying. Seems that something is 'leaky' on the setting that's allowing unwanted detection. This does not happen at night under infra-red operation but rather in colour mode during daylight hours.
Have any others of you noticed just how low the audio volume is on the CX810 and this is with the most up to date firmware too? I have six RLC810A cameras and all of them have the same high level of audio and it's clear as well. I would say that the CX810 is about 1/8 of the volume of all of the other cameras that I have. Couple this with the awful quality of the audio anyway. It's 'blurred' and "bubbly". To me, this seems to be a very high compression setting on the camera's (audio) encoder. It's possible to improve this by switching on the noise-reduction and setting it the minimum (low). This appears to filter out a lot of bass, but reduces the already low volume even more. Nothing that I am able to do on the limited settings can improve the dreadful audio quality and low level of sound.Sadly the CX810, which does have wonderful image quality at night, is back in its box! I can't use it when it's like this. Come on Reolink and sort these things out, or at least actually TEST your products before selling them!
@joseph_1979 This is not an Infrared camera and does not 'see' in Infrared whether or not you have an external light. Even if it can slightly detect it the camera will not have the full range like a proper Infrared sensing camera would. If this why they have now brought out the CX410C?? It takes Reolink a while to catch on the problems they create with their products!
Not sure if anyone has already asked this question. I've recently bought a ColorX CX810. Picture with decent light is amazing and I'm impressed. However, if the camera needs a little more light you would have to enable the spotlight (at whatever light level it needs). If you want to bring attention to the fact that you have security cameras, then switching the spotlight on is the way to do that! However, most people want discrete security systems that don't call attention to the fact that cameras are there. I've not changed over my main camera to the CX810 because I might need to enable the spotlight if background light is slower at times and do not want to call attention to the camera. Switching to an Infrared setting would truly make these cameras more versatile. The current problem with ColorX is that you will not know if it's going to function in the location that you intend to use it in, until you've bought it and tried is out for a few months. Only then might you discover that you might need more illumination and then you are back in the "do I want everyone to know I have Reolink cameras all over the place?"PLEASE - ColorX, but also WITH Infrared lights/sensor like all normal range of cameras have.
I see that there are currently trials of a new CX810 ColorX 4K 8MP PoE Camera. Are there any timescales for when this might be released worldwide?I'd love to be able to potentially replace all of my RLC-810A's (I have 6 of them) with these cameras, if they prove successful in the trials.
That's gonna be a VERY expensive phone call
