It is true. I have 9 Reolink cameras. I can view all nine on my app on my phone, but the 8 Channel NVR only records 8 of them.
You cant change the password to each camera when hooked to NVR. You need to connect each camera to your network and do it there. Then when you add it back to the NVR, update the password you set on the camera in the NVR software. I just did this.
I thought I read in one of the user manuals on the site that you can have more than 8 cameras and be able to remote view all of those cameras but only record a maximum of 8. is that true?Example: I can have 12 cameras added to the NVR, but I can only record 8. I can view remotely all 12 though.
Thanks Bob. I was able to direct connect to the cameras and set the password on the cameras.
I have an eight channel NVR and 6 cameras. When in the NVR admin screen, I cant find anywhere where I can change the default password for the cameras (which is the default blank password.) I only can change the NVR password.1) Could hackers get to the NVR cameras through the NVR?2) How do i change each camera's password that is connected to the NVR?ThanksA2Z
